Jordan A Stearne

Biography
I began my architectural career in Lethbridge, Alberta where I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including educational, administration, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects from conception to completion.

My intent as a Registered Architect is to establish environments, both public and private, that inspire and improve the quality of life of their occupants by stimulating a strong "sense of place." Passionate about sustainable impacts the built environment has on each community, I strive to enhance my understanding of how design can enrich a person's daily life experience. My passion and focus on social sustainability was rewarded with a Calgary Mayor's Urban Design Award in recognition of excellence in urban design achievement in enhancing quality of life in Calgary.

When I'm not attempting to make our built environment a better place to live, I enjoy playing hockey, fishing, and other outdoor activities such as gardening. I also love to travel, cook, and try new foods.

Recently I have welcomed my new son to my growing family and I am excited for the new adventures that parenthood will bring.

Thanks
I would like to thank and recognize both Tyson Bolduc, partner at GEC Architects, and Elizabeth Songer, founding partner of Songer Architecture, for their wonderful guidance and support during my journey toward registration. They both were able show me what it means to be a professional architect by leading by example and also giving me words of wisdom, encouragement, and giving me opportunities to grow as a professional and as an individual.
