Carlos Gamez Ruiz
I started my journey in the career of Architecture in Mexico, the country where I was born and raised. I graduated from the Cajeme’ Technical Superior Institute (ITESCA) with a Bachelors degree in Architecture in 2005 with a major in architectural design.
In 2015 I graduated from a Master Degree program in Environment Management with Majoring in Renewable Resources.
A year before, in 2014, I moved to Canada and I started working with Berry Architecture + Associates, shortly after I started to enhance my knowledge about the extreme cold climate and acquire special interest in the Building Envelope field. I obtained my license as an Architect through the Broadly Experienced Foreign Architects (BEFA) validating my 10 years of experience from Mexico.
In order to enhance my knowledge about energy efficiency strategies considering building performance I also acquired my certification as Passive House Designer.
(Instituto Sonorense de Infraestructura Educativa - ISIE) Public School Competition Related to Innovative Design and Energy efficiency for Extreme Heat Climate - Elementary and Middle School Design 1st. Place award at State level in Sonora Mexico - 2005.
Family always comes first, on that note, I would like to thank my parents for the values that they have put in me also my wife for giving me courage, strength, help and support along the way.
