Presidents Medal

The AAA’s President’s Medal is awarded annually to a graduating architecture student from the University of Calgary, and a graduating interior design student from Mount Royal University, who in the judgment of their faculties, have achieved the highest level of academic excellence and/or have completed the most outstanding final design thesis for that academic year.
 

Scholarships

The AAA proudly supports the future architects and interior designers of Alberta by offering a selection of scholarships to students through the province's major post secondary institutions. 
 
Athabasca University

The Alberta Association of Architects Award- $1,400
Alberta Association of Architects Award is intended to assist students in either the BSc. in Architecture program or the Graduate Diploma in Architecture program with continuation of their education.

Mount Royal University

The Alberta Association of Architects Scholarship - $1,400
Awarded to a full-time student graduating from the Interior Design program who demonstrates outstanding achievement in the senior project that encompasses both design and technical expertise.

Northern Alberta Institute of Technology

Cecil S. Burgess Scholarships - $1,400 ($700 x 2)
Available to one second year Architectural Technology student and one second year Interior Design Technology student, the Cecil S. Burgess scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievement.

Southern Alberta Institute of Technology

Cecil S. Burgess Scholarships - $1,400 ($700 x 2)
Available to two third year students enrolled in the Architectural Technologist Program, the Cecil S. Burgess scholarship are awarded on the basis of academic achievement.

University of Calgary
Cecil Scott Burgess Scholarship - $1400
Established in 1977 to recognize Cecil Scott Burgess, a Professor of Architecture and resident architect at the University of Alberta from 1913 -1940. This scholarship is open to full time students registered in the final year of the Masters of Architecture program in the Faculty of Environmental Design.
